Yeah, I tried to keep it contained to guys we had a reasonable chance of getting high enough for, but I admit Lamb at 17 was getting close. If he'd have fallen one more pick, I was ready to start calling for them to pull the trigger back around draft time (I think I had figured that our 2nd could get us up to 18)

That would, legitimately, have been pretty sick. But too rich, as it was.

It's like you guys just don't get it.

If we traded up to get Lamb, how could Rodgers get going because Jordan Love wasn't selected to light a fire under his ass?! ;)

Florio just trying so damn hard to wish it true.

3. Seahawks (No. 3; 2-0): At this rate, Russell Wilson won’t just get his first MVP vote. He’ll get his first 50.

6. Packers (No. 9; 2-0): They’re better than they were last year. Imagine how much better they’d be if they’d used their first-round pick on a receiver.

To be fair, I have no quibbles with the top part. Wilson is the MVP so far--two wins, 80+% completion percentage, 9 TDs. It's insane.

I mean, we are two weeks in, so just slow down a bit is what I am saying.

Also, huge shout out to Kevin King.

Has he like ever had a ball thrown at him and completed yet this year? Seems like Chandon and Alexander have been the CBs opposing QBs have been picking on.

I hadn't read anything on Scott being injured. Did I miss it? Or is this just a case of the team updating their emergency list? From what I can tell, Scott has been solid and they certainly don't want to mess with the flow he and Crosby have going right now.

The league has been pretty vocal about their 0 pos test result so far. I think we'd have heard were he to test positive.

Maybe JK is mad because Aaron Rodgers keeps making fun of him on the Pat McAfee Show

The Packers' Offense is

#1 in total yards
#1 in total points
#1 in rushing yards
#1 in rushing yards per carry
#1 in Football Outsiders' VOA metric (no DVOA yet because it's too early to adjust for quality of opposing defenses, which will definitely knock us down a tick)

And I mean this, this is what we have been talking about with the O too the past few years. You have guys like Bak, Rodgers, Adams and Jones Even throw in guys like Linsley and Bulaga. That is enough high end talent there where we should have been better.

The more I am thinking about the upcoming resigns, the less I am comfortable with Bakhtiarai. We've had the Bak, Linsley, and Bulaga days with liabilities at guard and it has shown. I think last year and this year shows what happens when you don't have liabilities on the OL.

Piggy backing off Bukowski, but if there ever was a unit more dependent on liabilites than star talent, it is the OL. I'd rather do what we can to make sure we have 5 quality, above average at worst starters, with even some quality depth, rather than have the best of the best at one spot at the expense of others.

I am a strong believer in paying the people if they elevate those around around you. If you are paying people and they don't elevate those around them....then your team will struggle.

It is why I was so hard on Rodgers the past few years. If surrounding talent is an excuse, (obviously this is a factor), then we maybe need to look at our top end guys and determine if they should be the top end paid guy as they are not elevating their surrounding talent.

I think Bakh is priority Number 1 because he is the cornerstone of that Oline who has seen tremendous success for decades.

I love how our offense is set up. We have a top QB, WR, RB, and LT. Last offseason I was going mad trying to figure out why we weren't better when we had all those ingredients. Super glad we are seeing the dividends now.

"More points and more touchdowns have been scored in the first two weeks of this season than in any opening two weeks in NFL history"
And not only did the Packers contribute to that record, GB is sitting on the top of the scoring list
