Yeah, not a good opening weekend.
Apparently the Yankees are using some new fangled bat designed by some MIT nerd that puts more bat on ball. Damn sure worked this past weekend.

They've looked about as bad as a team can look. Getting smoked just about every game. If their pitching doesn't settle in, it's gonna be a loooooooooong season.

Reduces radius of gyration, can swing faster. Also a bigger sweet spot. Shouldn't be allowed (for any team).

Reminds me of the big red whiffle ball bats my brothers and I used to beat each other with as kids.

I agree, abolish pitching engineering as well

Nice couple of wins over the Royals the past 2 days. Let's keep up the momentum despite a decimated starting pitching staff. Does anyone know what's up with Blake Perkins' fractured shin status?

That’s four wins in a row following the 0-4 start.
They did it without Yelich or Contreras offering anything at the plate, too. Once those two get going…

Turang and Frelick are playing great ball. Murph says Frelick plays like a hockey player. His dirty uniform is becoming famous.

Oli Dunn is the first Brewer to now have a torpedo bat.

Impressive debut for Caleb Durbin tonight. Wears Roberto Clemente's jersey #.

...and he's been sent to Nashville because his offense is terrible.

For those keeping score, Devin Williams has been removed from the Yankees closer role for, let’s just say, less than ideal performance. He’s struggled all season and the Yankees have finally seen enough.
As I recall, Josh Hader also struggled upon his departure from Milwaukee.
Is the Brewer bullpen staff that good? Or is it just luck of timing when dumping these guys?

I completely forgot that I'll be at the Brewers game on Sunday. Been a number of years since I went to one. I'll be there with several Chicago fans, so I hope we beat the snot out of them.

I'm kind of dreading attending the Brewers game tomorrow. I'll be with Cubs fans (my wife's friends). The Brewers are so awful right now.

Was a nice surprise to see a shutout win! Cubs fans were in full force, of course. Probably at least 2/3 Cubs fans. But was an overall good time and nice they didn't get the sweep.

I remember watching Cecil Fielder play and the ensuing hoopla over his son, Prince, making it to the bigs. Now there's another generation?
$%@#, I'm getting old...
