Cheesy topics (like the Cheese Curds thread) go here. Topics that aren't Packer related will be moved here as well.

Mmmm.... cheese.

2025 Dynasty League

Post by Packfntk »

Alright boys, we are moving forward with the 2025 season. Acrobat and My Takes are all set up in FleaFlicker, and open for business. We are going to do things a little different this year. We are going to hold an "owners meeting" of sorts.

If you have any changes you want seen in our league, whether it be positional changes, scoring changes, anything really.... Please email them to me. My email is nbrowne56@yahoo.com.

When I receive the topics, if any, I will roll them out one by one to have quick discussion on each topic, and when they are all done we will vote on them. In the past it seemed as if things would get brought up and it wasn't quite official. So at this time, please email me any changes you would like to see in the league.

After we move through with this, we will set in place firm dates for the draft, and everything. Sound good? Who is going to take carp down?

Just so I've said it - while I moved to the 1.02 for a reason (and will most likely carry out that plan), the pick is for sale if the price is right. I won't consider anything before the draft but feel free to make an offer after that.

Much less inclined to trade back after day 1 of the NFL draft.

You are the minority. Most are jumping ship.

Prior to the draft, I had about ten players I'd have been happy with in the first round, now it's a lot fewer.

So I am a newbie to dynasty FF and your multi QB rules etc. I am not above hearing/listening to any tips or advice that anyone is willing to give. :)

The league revolves around QB's. You can start up to 3 and they get the most points. So ability to start 30 QB's each week, so you'll want good ones, cause there really crappy QB's still play, such scarcity.

Then also if you hit on a rookie QB, you could just have them for ~15 years.

Given that, draft picks are incredibly valuable and very frequently traded, and several years into the future.

Since its a forever dynasty, playing for bye weeks really doesn't matter when considering maybe who to pick, might get you in a tight spot for this current year. But if you have these players for many years, it just really don't shouldn't play into the thought process very much.

Agree. And similarly, the immediate team circumstances around a player will change. Knowing who teams are paying and who they are likely not to resign, etc... can be advantageous. In general, talent wins out, but you can spend years waiting for a player's circumstances to meet his talent.

Don't listen to me. DO trade with me. I'm terrible at this.

My picks 1.9 and/or 2.1 are for sale for a quality veteran RB or TE if anyone is looking for extra picks! I would also be potentially interested in moving up and packaging a few picks as well. LMK!

Few other random thoughts.

Draft is pretty easy going. Think we usually go sometime in July maybe. You get 24 hours on the clock when you are up, at which point people who are around waiting can agree to make a pick for you if you don't pick. Pretty sure that has never happened. If you know you are going to be away a day or two, just speak up ahead of time, doubt we'll care and we'll wait.

Given that, feel like we usually get the whole 4 round draft done in like 3-4 days.

All trades, even with just picks, make sure they all go through fleaflicker so the draft order is always current in there.

You can carry basically as many people as you want through the offseason (all your keepers from year before and all draft picks, but can't add anyone other than draft and your IR). Then we do have a cut down day the Monday after preseason. Think it was to 31?

Then waivers process wednesday/thursday night.

No intentional tanking or leaving players on bye's in, for the perceived purpose of trying to get a better draft pick. Commissioners may agree to dock picks should that occur.
