I don't know much about this young man but he is one large human being.

Sadly, he’ll be transferred down the line and converted into a position that compromises his developed skills and muscle groups, destined for a future of soft tissue and knee injuries. Gotta run, Mark Bulaga on line 2.

For those who want more "dawgs"

Anthony Belton is apparently a dawg. He is an a$$hole. He is the guy who brings nasty. He is the guy who does that final shove.

Not loving or hating the Belton pick, but I do like that the OLine should be 7 deep in 2025 at least before the inevitable injury bug bites.

That said, how do folks think the starting OLine shakes out this season?

Ideally for me it would be Morgan, Banks, Jenkins, Belton, and Tom, because I don't foresee Walker or Rhyan being on the team in 2026.

I would be far less excited if Morgan and Belton are not starting at least as the season progresses.

Agreed, that's probably the ideal line in 2026 and could be as early as this year. Walker and Rhyan will still be in the mix early, but will have to earn it. Lt and Rg are open competitions.

Initial quick reaction is, we just got a road grading guard.
Yeah, me too. They clearly are prioritizing the running game post AR. 20 reps though is awful for 336 lbs. even with long arms. Injury?

Just seems at least one round early, and especially with some Edge and CB still on the board.
Yup. Where AR12 could win a game with his arm, maybe GB wants to simply use Love to manage games. Yeah, he can make all the throws. But the elite teams have taught us the power of being "ahead of the chains." Third and 1 or 2 is a lot different than third and 7 or 8. Love is a great talent. But let's be realistic about how much a 1 or 2 yard gain is more likely than third and long. Guys like Belton/Banks will help us get there.

To those who wanted to prioritize defense on this year's draft, I respectfully submit that the Packers' philosophy is that a good, time-consuming offense is the best defense.

Liked the prospect a lot. This is a round earlier than I was thinking, but I also kind of get it, can't hate it. We got handled by the Eagles. We need some monsters if we want to beat them.

the anti tush push packers have decided if ya can't ban the non football move, ya might as well get on board copying it, brought in ot/og Anthony bigger than big Belton ta do the push, and Savion Williams to provide the TUSH to push, no more allowing Philly to have all the fun

Guty knows defenses don't win Championships, the tush push does, bravo for the open minded Brian Gutekunst :aok:

IMO he resembles P Diddy in the face. So he might actually be the perfect player to execute a tush push.

I’m sure the Packers did their homework on that incident, but that’s Bush League.

Only in the best way! lol

I am seeing us average 38+ minutes TOP/game. Keeping other offenses OFF the field. That's my dream brother.

I really like the first 3 picks. In my mind Gutey is thinking about how to beat Detroit. First gotta get more play makers (Golden & Williams).

But when he sees the Lions select Tyleik Williams (the guy I wanted), who may be a beast, Gutey counters by selecting Belton. Mano a Mano.

So I love how the Packers have improved their Oline this year. I felt it was one of their weaknesses against the better teams like the Lions and the Eagles. Well no more of that $h!t!

Belton and Williams bring a physicality and toughness the Packers need to get over the hump.

The Packers look like they’re ready to dominate.
Love is the answer…

The his is by far the worst pick in this class. Probably the worst pick in Gutenbumst last 3 classes. Not only did he stray far from consensus. Not only did he take a 24 year old rookie and when you look historically the players that backfire at age 24 or older is extensive. You also took a player on the OL that is already 6 deep plus two additional 2nd year players taken in last year class plus another promising UDFA in Jennings. You should have been set here to just take a day 3 developmental lineman considering what you invested a year ago and the versatility you have with Morgan, Rhyan, and Jenkins.

This is another one of those picks that no matter how someone wants to spin it to me this is a really, really bad pick. I liked Belton as a guy you can get if you wanted to even reach in the 3rd or if he falls to you in the 4th. In the 2nd is one of those picks that does make me question in Gutenbumst is an inbred retard from a Hills Have Eyes movie.

I know there is no reasoning with you when you get like this but....if he's the starting RG from Day 1 and becomes a solid 4 year starter there or LT, maybe 7-8 on a 2nd contract; you wouldn't end up calling this a good pick?

another question is this, does Guty feel paying a RT as good as Toms to probably a top 8 OT contract worth it? cause that's what I've heard his demands probably are, or is Belton the pick to replace Zack? :idn:
