He's getting raked over the coals by the media, so I figure that means one of two things: (1) he is going to fall like a brick in the draft, and teams are letting this out so fans that want their team to get him don't get too surprised or upset when that doesn't happen, -or- (2) some team really wants him in R1 and is behind this to ensure he falls to them.
My guess is 1.
I feel like PIT is the one team that can manage the Deion angle of it, and they need a QB. I do think Sanders is a better prospect than Pickett was, but not by much. Or if you are CLE and you take Hunter at 2, you may as well take the guy who gets him the ball pretty well. And yeah, Deion's interference in your team's affairs is not ideal, but you're CLE so it's not like you had some great organizational culture that he's messing up.

Holy &%$@. What a shocker of a trade. And a terrible decision IMO. That’s a lot to give up for a really good CB and WR but not an elite one at either. Steal from the Browns and exactly what they needed to do.
