2025 Packers-Huddle Draft Contests

Post by paco »

The 2025 NFL Draft is upon us! Here's hoping the world can see a hell of a show put on in Green Bay! This will be our 12th year doing these contests.

You can check out the rules on the first tab (as well as past winners). If you have questions, ASK!

Don't be a wimp and do both contests! You don't have to be good at this, or even know what you are doing. It's no different than March Madness. Put stuff on the page and watch while you beat the rest of us who act like we know something! I'll add more spots if needed.

If you notices any issues with the form, need a prospect added, or have any feedback on the contest let me know. I'm open to changes!

Between work, DIY projects, preparing for a baby coming this summer, and actually taking off and going to the draft I am unsure if I will get this done, but I will do my best to toss some names on the spreadsheet. It is how I got in the Winners Tab the past two years.

My first round is a total mess. I threw something together to make sure I don't forget, and now I have to spend 2 days deciding whether and where to second-guess my random gut instincts.

But also my gut instincts say I have a couple people falling too far.

Holy crap I have ZERO idea what to do this year. Glad the feeling seems mutual amongst analysts. Even Rapaport said it's essentially a crapshoot after the top 5.

I've got very little time to make any more adjustments, and I may just stick with my Packers mock the way it is (trade out of the 1st!).

Spreadsheet will lock approximately 30 minutes before the draft begins. So make sure to get your picks in!

There is not enough information to submit a mock yet.

Agreed. I'll be submitting what I think will be a really accurate mock late Saturday.

I went through a bunch of iterations and think I have my final Packers mock done. I'll see if I want to make any changes tonight.

The CB's are giving me the most trouble. All the top ones have something wrong. Too slow, too old, to small, don't move well, personal red flags, injury red flags. I want to find another way to get more 2nd and 3rd rounders, but I'm less inclined we'll trade back from 23 now (if we were later in the 20's I'd be more likely to). I do expect us to move a few times, so I at least mocked 1 trade going down in the 3rd and picking up another high 6th.

Good luck to all with your picks. about 7 more hours to get them in!

SAME!?!

Like, if Will Johnson is dropping like a rock because there are long-term knee concerns, then he's probably not for us, either. Hairston fits where we are and a ton of the things we like (low weight, though), he's been tangibly linked to us by multiple sources, and he has the quietest (but documented) sexual assault accusation scandal in the draft. Morrison, injury concerns. Revel, age and injury concerns. Parish said to be rising and gives some analysts Jaire vibes, but he is even shorter than Jaire and would we go that way again after?

Then we're starting to look at projects or longshots for a while.

Like I really like Caleb Ransaw and Tomi Hill in the 4th-6th range. Would I rather gamble on traits with Darien Porter in the 2nd/3rd range or in the 5th/6th range with Zah Frazier? I dunno. I'm almost inclined to wait unless something magical falls in our lap.

I toyed with not touching CB until Day 3 for all these reasons. In the end, I took a gamble on Revel in the 2nd, but I don't feel great about it being likely.

Jaire feels all but gone, but I think they like the room they have more than fans do. But they do need a body that can do something. I did just see a rumor about Greg Newsome being available for trade. That could be an intriguing trade possibility if we think we actually want to pay him.

I think they will only go CB high if the value is awesome, like if you can get Revel in R2. Otherwise, they can totally ignore the position in Days 1 and 2. What we have at our starting CB positions is more than adequate for this year. Our only need there is depth and developmental talent.
