Re: Cheese Curds - News Around The League 2025

Jonathan Brooks is on the PUP, not out for the season, yet. Brooks' ACL tear is also his 2nd in 2 years of the same knee. Not a good measuring point for Watson.

Re: Packers decline Quay Walker 5th-year option (but...)

Looking at the 2024 Eagles, they only had 8 players on their roster that had started with them and been resigned after their rookie contract. Brandon Graham Lane Johnson Dallas Goedert Avonte Maddox Josh Sweat Jack Driscoll Jordan Mailata Jalen Hurts That's really interesting to me, on a lot of lev...

Re: Packers decline Quay Walker 5th-year option (but...)

Building effective NFL teams is more than just signing/resigning of Pro Bowl caliber players and letting the rest walk. Teams can't be built without roll players and some players that just get the job done for the most part. Guys like Avonte Maddox, Jack Driscoll, and Dallas Goedert come to mind rig...

Re: Jaire

He needs to, and Hermans opinion is very logical, he wants a new team and still make 18 mil. this year, then that's the option, HE doesn't need to do anything. He can play for the Packers and make more than $18 million. Should he play all 17 games and attend all workouts, he is set to make $21,399,...

Re: Jaire

Reporting has been that Jaire has no interest in renegotiating his contract. It was reported that was why no team wanted to trade for him. Re: Jaire

this makes sense, why take a big cap hit now, versus just waiting another month for a smaller hit and cap savings in 26 UFA isn't over, we could use that saving towards a long term solution, or even trade for one The optimal time for the Packers to cut or trade Jaire Alexander would be after June 1...

Re: Pick 23: WR Matthew Golden

Well now that I've read ALL the scouting reports I know that he is a plus route runner who needs to refine his route running and lines up 76% outside but spends a lot of time in the slot and needs to work on his release packages and is strong at getting a release and is a true burner who isn't a tr...

Re: Jaire

Now that the draft has come and gone without a trade, I tend to believe Alexander will be on the team this season. There is absolutely no reason not to cut him today if the rift is really that bad. So, that leads me to believe the rift isn't that bad. There is no more trade value, so that's out.

Re: Pick 23: WR Matthew Golden

Dane Brugler, The Athletic (draft guide) A one-year starter at Texas, Golden was the Z receiver in head coach Steve Sarkisian's RPO pro-style spread offense and was used across the formation with heavy motions (76.1 percent of snaps wide, 23.9 percent in the slot). After two promising seasons in Ho...

Who does Golden remind everyone of, play-style and measurably?

Re: Pick 23: WR Matthew Golden

I think Golden is a really good WR2 or a bottom tier WR1. Speed is his best trait. He’s definitely fast but idk about the combine time he ran. The two things most disappointing about him is his release when jammed which is a work in progress. The other is how in elusive he is. I would really like t...

Re: Pick 23: WR Matthew Golden

I'm not entirely sure what Golden is or will be. I'm kinda medium on him. I don't dislike him. But I sure don't think we solved the "who's our #1 receiver" question with him, in the near or even the long term. Open to being wrong, though. He has traits and hands. Is the only reason why yo...

When you finally lay it out that way that CB group looks THIN. Would love to add a vet there on a 1 year deal if possible.
It's SO thin I hate it.
You forgot Alexander!

Re: Pick 54 - Anthony Belton, OT

For OT arm length comparison.

I could see a line of Belton, Banks, Jenkins, Morgan, Tom by the end of 2025. That would mean Tom is the smallest OL of the group.
