Re: Call Me Crazy, but....

I'm not denying that the gap is shrinking. I'm just saying it still exists. What has gone away completely is that it used to be LTs had to be pass protectors and RTs were more run-oriented. And you could get away with a mediocre RT more so than a left. Now you for sure need two good pass-protecting...

Re: What Are You Watching?

Final season of You on Netflix. It’s a trash series, but still entertaining and something I can watch with the wife.

Re: Call Me Crazy, but....

I'm just saying there's still plenty of benefit to having your best, most reliable OL be the guy at LT. This is where I disagree, some. Defensive schemes are too good at identifying weaknesses on your OL and exploiting them. Offenses have also evolved a ton. A TE no longer lines up next to the RT 9...

Re: Cheese Curds - News Around The League 2025

Some Packer fans are hanging on every thread of Aaron Rodgers like some Viking fans are doing with Cousins. He's not on your team. Who gives a crap what he does for whatever team is dumb enough to sign him. :horse: I mean this is a news around the league thread. No, the viking fan is right. We shou...

Re: Call Me Crazy, but....

Well according to over the cap, there are 4 right tackles making 20+M/year and 11 left tackles making the same. So until those numbers balance, In going to factually assert that left tackles remain the most valuable position on the OL. I am not saying you are wrong, but if we take those 15 players ...

There was something off on our Oline last year and it showed up big against the tough opponents.
Right in the middle. The guy no longer here.

This was such old news that when I saw this post, I was afraid he passed away or something.

Re: 2025 Packers draft picks + UDFA

Ok we've reached the sweet spot in the offseason when the pre-draft analysis fades from memory and the post-draft write-ups get me unrealistically hopeful. Delulu season. Best draft ever. :lombardi: Kramer, Taylor and Nitschke were drafted in 1958. :cigar: Dan Currie was a really good, but often ov...

they're paying CeeDee, Dak, and Parsons
Parsons is not a done deal, yet. I wonder if they will actually get that done. They are dumb enough to screw it up.

Dallas is funny because they're not good and refusing to rebuild.
He puts asses in the seats, though, right? I totally agree with your point.

Re: Call Me Crazy, but....

Could just be we have 2 good LT's. I would set a pretty aggressive dollar figure to resign Walker, probably more than most. But stick to it, if someone goes ape for him, then they can have him and we'll take a good comp pick. Obvisouly depends on this year, but banking on some slight progression. I...

Re: Call Me Crazy, but....

Extend Watson? For what? Being fast and tall. Even when he’s on the field he doesn’t produce. You pay for what you are going to get, not what you have got thus far. If you see his production as the peak of his career trajectory, then yes, you are right. No reason to sign him. If, like some, you bel...

Re: Pick 87 - Savion Williams, WR TCU

Lazard was never a preferred #2 WR until MVS was allowed to walk and Adams was traded. Then, he became our de facto #1. That was 2022 and that was bad, but I think the Packers reacted the best they could. NO FIRST ROUND WR's... but they got Watson, the guy many wanted in the 1st-round, took Doubs, a...

Re: 2025 Packers draft picks + UDFA

It's funny. I was shocked there wasn't a larger investment in an actual DT-type body. Now, reading up and letting everything set in, with the two Georgia boys and feeling not so bad about it. I still think we need an actual star up front eventually, but for now, if they can get snaps out of either o...
